I don&#039;t know if it&#039;s just the rise of a workaholic culture or if people are genuinely worried that they&#039;re going to be lampooned for daring to take 30 seconds to focus their eyes on something else. Whichever it is, people seem to be very reluctant to take breaks.

And it is an important part of workstation ergonomics. It&#039;s all very well providing the equipment but unless it&#039;s being used properly, you&#039;re no better off. And even the most monstrous manager should accept that it makes better financial sense to invest in the proper equipment and allow regular breaks than to have to repeatedly spend on sick pay for a demoralised and downtrodden workforce.</description>
